Toor Dal - 1 Cup
Chana dal - 1 Cup
Rice - Handful
Black pepper - 2 tbsp
Raw coconut - 1/2 Cup (or as per taste)
Oil - 2-3 tbsp
Salt - As per taste
Veggies - Drumsticks/ Raw bananas / Arvi (Chama gadda)
Procedure:
1. Cook toor dal and veggies.
2. In a pan, take oil and shallow fry black pepper and rice.
3. Grind the fried black pepper and rice along with raw coconut.
4. To the boiled dal and veggies, add the grinded mixture along with salt and allow to boil with enough water.
5. Finally add the seasoning with curry leaves to the above boiled pindi miriyam
6. Serve with hot rice and ghee. Tastes good with papad and vadiyams(fryums).
