Ingredients:
Cranberries - Handful
Toor Dal - 1 Cup
Raw chillies - 2-3
Mustard Seeds - 1 spoon
Asafoetida(Inguva) - A pinch
Curry leaves - 3-4
Salt- As per taste.
Red Chilli Powder - As per taste
Tamarind - As per taste
Procedure:
Cook toor dal and cranberries in pressure cooker separately. Make tamarind paste.
In a pan, heat the oil and put mustard seeds. Once the seeds splutter, add curry leaves,raw chillies and asafoetida. Mash the cooked dal and cranberries and add it to the seasoning. Add salt and red chilli powder as per taste and let the dal cook to desired consistency. Remove from heat and garnish with kothimir. It's as tasty as mango dal. Serve hot with hot rice and ghee.
